Description

The Jupiter is a 300mm circular wall light combining a white marble base plate with a ribbed frosted glass diffuser, housing an integrated 13W LED strip at 3000K. The marble lower half acts as both structural base and decorative element, while the upper glass hemisphere diffuses the warm white light across the wall surface and outward into the room.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms and living rooms where wall-mounted ambient lighting is needed, the Jupiter sits 30mm proud of the wall and casts a soft wash of light upward and forward. The IP20 rating limits use to internal dry locations only. Installation requires a standard flush back box wired to mains 220-240V, with no external driver needed as the LED is internally regulated.

The marble base shows natural veining variation between individual pieces, typical of cut natural stone. The ribbed texture on the glass diffuser breaks up the LED strip visually and softens the light output, preventing direct glare from the source. At 13W the fitting provides moderate ambient light rather than task lighting, suitable for supplementary illumination in circulation spaces or paired with other sources in larger rooms.

The integrated 13W LED is not dimmable. The fitting operates at fixed output on standard mains switching only.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Jupiter is suitable for internal dry locations only. It does not carry the IP44 or IP65 rating required for bathroom zones or outdoor use.

Does the marble vary between individual lights?

Yes. Each marble base is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns, tonal variation and mineral inclusions differ between pieces. This is characteristic of the material, not a defect.

What back box is needed for installation?

A standard UK flush back box wired to mains 220-240V is required. The fitting mounts directly to the box with no external driver needed, as the LED is internally regulated.
