Description

The Java is a 365mm table lamp built around a tapered frosted white glass shade mounted on a satin nickel base. A single E14 bulb inside the glass cone (sold separately) casts soft diffused light through the frosted surface, giving ambient illumination without direct glare. The satin nickel finish on the base and stem provides a brushed metallic accent that contrasts with the matte translucency of the glass.

Designed for bedside tables, narrow console tables and reading corners where space is limited, the Java's 106mm square footprint fits surfaces as small as 200mm wide. The 365mm height positions the light source at a comfortable level for reading when placed on a standard 600-700mm high nightstand or side table. The frosted glass softens the bulb filament or LED chip, making it suitable for ambient lighting in bedrooms, living room accent corners and hallway consoles.

The satin nickel base is powder-coated steel with a low-sheen brushed finish that minimises fingerprints and pairs well with contemporary, mid-century and transitional interiors. The frosted glass shade is hand-blown, so minor variations in thickness and tone between individual lamps are normal. When paired with a dimmable E14 LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, the lamp can be adjusted from low background light to full reading brightness.
