Jasper 18 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Jasper is an 18 light semi-flush ceiling fitting built on a polished chrome spherical core, from which elongated glass tubes radiate outward in a starburst arrangement. Each tube terminates in a facet-cut Asfour crystal prism, giving 18 individual G4 halogen bulb positions across the 550mm diameter structure. The glass tubes are clear, allowing full visibility of the internal chrome framework and creating multiple reflective surfaces when the fitting is lit.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 3.5m, the Jasper operates as both a primary light source and a decorative focal point. The 790mm minimum drop positions the lower crystal tier at approximately 2.2m from floor level in a standard 2.4m room, while the adjustable suspension rod extends to a maximum 1750mm for taller spaces. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose, with the chrome canopy covering the electrical connection point.

Each of the 18 G4 bulbs provides up to 20W output, giving a combined 360W maximum load that delivers substantial ambient light when all positions are active. The halogen bulbs (included) produce warm white light at approximately 3000K, which reflects through the crystal prisms and creates scattered highlights across walls and ceilings. The polished chrome finish on the metal components provides high reflectivity, intensifying the light scatter effect. At 7.3kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor — the weight comes from the solid metal core and the density of the Asfour crystal prisms.

Is the Jasper dimmable?

No. The G4 halogen circuit in this model is not dimmer-compatible. The bulbs operate at full brightness when switched on.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 790mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. In a standard 2.4m room the lower crystal tier sits at approximately 1.6m from floor level, which may be too low for circulation areas but acceptable for dining tables or bedroom centres where headroom beneath the fitting is not required.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The fitting ships with 18 G4 halogen bulbs rated at 20W each. Replacement bulbs are widely available as standard G4 bi-pin capsules.

Can LED G4 bulbs be used instead of halogen?

The specification states 'Not LED/CFL Compatible', which typically indicates that the internal transformer or circuit design requires halogen bulbs.
