Description

The Jarras is a 200mm cylindrical glass pendant with an ash grey tinted glass shade suspended from a polished chrome ceiling canopy and lampholder ring. The shade is a double-walled glass cylinder — clear outer layer with a smoky grey inner layer — giving depth to the glass when the bulb inside is lit. The E27 lampholder sits inside the cylinder and accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, restaurant counters and utility rooms where a single pendant provides task or zoned light, the Jarras works in multiples or as a standalone fitting. The adjustable drop ranges from 710mm minimum to 2200mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at bar height (900-1000mm above a counter) or dining height (700-800mm above a table surface) depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The ash grey glass filters warm-toned bulbs into a cooler, more neutral output, while clear and daylight-white bulbs retain their original colour temperature. The glass cylinder measures 200mm diameter by approximately 280mm height, large enough to accommodate vintage filament bulbs or compact LED alternatives without the bulb dominating the shade. The polished chrome finish on the canopy and lampholder ring pairs cleanly with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and industrial-style interiors.

Is the Jarras dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit. If you use a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the pendant will dim. Non-dimmable bulbs will not work with dimmers.

What bulb does it take?

The Jarras takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. The 200mm glass cylinder accommodates both compact LED bulbs and larger vintage filament styles.

How does the ash grey glass affect light colour?
