Jarras 20cm Glass Pendant Light - Copper & Rose Gold

The Jarras is a 20cm cylindrical glass pendant light with a rose gold-tinted glass shade suspended from a polished copper canopy. The shade itself is hand-blown glass with a copper-tone metallic coating applied to the interior surface, giving the glass a warm rose-gold hue when viewed from outside. A single E27 bulb inside the cylinder creates a diffused glow through the tinted glass.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining areas and hallways, the 20cm diameter works as a single pendant over a breakfast bar or in clusters of three or five over a longer dining table. The adjustable drop from 460mm to 1950mm allows positioning from 500-700mm above a worktop in kitchens with standard 2.4m ceilings, or dropped lower in double-height entrance halls. The copper canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the fabric-covered cable conceals the wire run from ceiling to shade.

The combination of polished copper metalwork and rose gold-tinted glass gives the pendant a warm metallic presence that pairs well with copper tap fittings, brass cabinet hardware and warm-toned wood cabinetry. The hand-blown glass shows slight variation in thickness and tonal consistency between individual pieces, a characteristic of the manufacturing process rather than a defect. At 1.85kg the pendant has enough weight to hang vertically without swaying in air movement from doors or windows.

What bulb does the Jarras take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the rose gold glass tone. The tinted glass softens the light output, so a slightly higher wattage than usual may be needed for task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The glass shade itself does not affect dimming performance — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen.

Can multiple Jarras pendants be clustered?

Yes. The 20cm diameter works well in clusters of three or five over dining tables or kitchen islands. When clustering, space pendants 300-400mm apart centre-to-centre and ensure each has its own ceiling rose and cable drop, or use a multi-outlet ceiling plate designed for clustered pendants.

How is the glass cleaned?

The rose gold coating is on the interior surface of the glass, so the exterior can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cloths or chemicals on the copper canopy — use a dry soft cloth for the metalwork.
