Description

The Jarras is a 200mm glass cylinder pendant in cognac-tinted glass, fitted with matt gold metalwork at the canopy and collar. A single E27 lampholder sits inside the cylinder, centred by the metal collar at the base, and the glass itself acts as the diffuser. When lit with a filament-style bulb the cognac glass casts warm amber tones through the cylinder and onto surrounding surfaces.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway positions, the Jarras works as a single pendant in smaller rooms or grouped in multiples over longer tables and worktops. The adjustable drop runs from 710mm at minimum to 2200mm at maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at different heights depending on ceiling height and the surface below. Most kitchen island installations position the glass 700-800mm above the worktop, while dining tables typically sit 750-850mm below the base of the cylinder.

The cognac glass is hand-blown, so each cylinder shows slight tonal variation and minor surface irregularities inherent to the process. The matt gold finish on the canopy and collar provides a warm metallic frame without the reflectivity of polished brass, pairing well with both warm-toned timber interiors and contemporary grey schemes. At 2.5kg the pendant carries sufficient weight to hang stably on the cable without additional tensioning, and the 200mm diameter gives clear visual presence without dominating smaller rooms.
