Description

The Jackson is an outdoor wall light with a tapered rectangular housing in sand white, fitted with two integrated 3W LEDs totalling 6W output at 3000K. The housing angles away from the wall at the base, directing one beam downward and outward, while a smaller aperture at the top casts uplight along the wall surface. The twin-beam configuration provides both accent lighting and functional illumination for doorways, pathways and building perimeters.

Designed for external installation on residential and commercial facades, the Jackson carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for covered porches, eaves and wall positions sheltered from direct weather exposure. The 82mm width and 170mm height suit tight mounting positions between doors and windows or on narrow wall sections where larger fittings would overwhelm the space. The 48mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting relatively flat against the facade.

The sand white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a neutral tone that pairs with white render, light-coloured brickwork and timber cladding. The 420 lumen output and 100-degree beam angle spread the 3000K warm white light evenly across approximately 1.5-2m of wall surface depending on mounting height. The non-dimmable LEDs are hardwired into the fitting and rated for 25,000 hours of operation before degradation.

Can the Jackson be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, but not full submersion or prolonged exposure to driving rain. The Jackson is best suited to covered positions such as under eaves, porch ceilings or recessed doorways rather than fully exposed wall sections.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced by the user. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation before noticeable degradation.

What installation depth is required behind the wall?

The fitting requires a standard UK backbox or cavity depth of at least 35mm to accommodate the wiring connections and the rear of the LED driver. The 48mm projection is measured from the wall surface to the front edge of the housing.

Does it cast light both up and down?

Yes. The angled base directs light downward and outward from the wall, while the smaller top aperture casts uplight along the wall surface. This twin-beam configuration provides both functional ground illumination and decorative wall wash.
