Description

The Irias is a 3-light cluster pendant from Schuller comprising three metal shades in matte black, each capped with a satin copper collar and suspended on adjustable black fabric cords from a circular 46cm ceiling canopy. Each shade houses an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) rated up to 20W per socket, and the drop height adjusts from 35cm minimum to 150cm maximum during installation.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and home office zones, the cluster arrangement spreads the three shades across the 46cm canopy diameter to provide balanced downlight coverage rather than a single concentrated beam. The adjustable cords allow each pendant to be set at different heights for staggered visual interest, or at the same height for uniform distribution. At 2.07kg total weight, the fitting requires a standard UK ceiling rose rated for 5kg or above.

The matte black finish on the metal shades absorbs ambient light and directs output downwards through the open base of each cone, while the satin copper collars at the neck of each shade catch and reflect light upwards into the shade interior, adding a warm metallic accent visible from below. The two-tone finish pairs with timber, concrete, ceramic tile and brushed metal worktops in both industrial-style and contemporary kitchens. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only.

What bulbs does the Irias take?

Each of the three shades takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for kitchen and dining applications.

Can the height of each pendant be adjusted individually?

Yes. The three fabric cords are independently adjustable during installation, allowing each shade to be set at a different height between 35cm and 150cm for staggered visual effect, or at the same height for uniform distribution.

What spread does the cluster cover?

The 46cm circular canopy distributes the three pendants across approximately 40-45cm of horizontal spread, making the fitting suitable for kitchen islands and dining tables between 90cm and 180cm in length.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must be installed in dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens zones 1-2, or outdoor covered areas.
