Description

A compact track head that drops a tight, controlled pool of light exactly where you aim it. The LED is built in and draws 35W, with its driver on board, so the head locks into a compatible track and takes power from it. Its light is 4000K cool white, nearer daylight than candlelight, and it is not dimmable, so it runs from a plain on and off switch. The head measures 23cm and is finished in black throughout.

Narrow beams like this earn their keep where light needs to land on something specific rather than wash across a room: pictures along a long wall, shelves of books or glassware, a worktop, the display side of a shop or studio. Because heads share a track, a run can be spaced, added to and rebalanced as a room changes, which is why we keep coming back to track for galleries, studios and open plan kitchens. Cool white suits detail work, so this is the one we would choose for a kitchen island, a workshop bench or a home office.

The body is double insulated and the driver sits inside the head, so there is nothing to find a home for. Keep it to interior rooms that stay dry; it is not made for bathrooms, porches or anywhere open to the weather. To clean, switch off at the wall, allow the housing to lose its heat, then take dust off the black finish with a dry cloth, avoiding solvents and anything abrasive around the front. Because the LED is integrated there is no lamp to replace, and it carries a five year warranty. We stock the same head in white, and both finishes in a warmer white; a honeycomb cover is also available if you want to soften glare.
