Description

A compact track head finished in black, with a narrow beam that lands light where you aim it rather than spilling it across a room. The LED is built in and needs no lamp: it draws 35W and gives around 3500 lumens of warm white at 3000K, which is a serious amount of light from a head this small. It is not dimmable, so it works on a simple on and off switch.

This is the head we reach for when something specific needs lighting well: a run of artwork along a hallway, shelves of glass or ceramics, a kitchen island, or stock on display in a shop or studio. Because the beam is tight, you can light one object cleanly and leave the wall around it quiet, then add further heads along the same track as the layout changes. It suits anyone who wants light placed deliberately rather than spread evenly, and it earns its keep in high rooms where a broad fitting would simply wash the floor.

The body is a plain cylinder on an adjustable knuckle, black on every visible face, with the driver contained inside the fitting. Keep it to sheltered indoor rooms; it is not made for damp or exposed positions. For upkeep, isolate the supply and let the head lose its heat before you touch it, then take dust off the lens with a dry brush or blower, since a dulled lens costs you output long before anything else goes wrong. Do not use solvents on the black finish. We also stock the same head in white, and in a cooler 4000K version in both finishes, so you can match warmth across a scheme or split it by room. There is a honeycomb cover in the range too, worth adding where glare from the head itself would be noticeable at eye level. It carries a five year warranty.
