Description

The Knightsbridge IP66 13A fused spur unit houses a switched fused connection unit inside a weatherproof black polycarbonate enclosure with a transparent hinged lid. A neon indicator visible through the smoked black casing shows when power is on, allowing status checks without opening the unit. The IP66 rating protects against heavy rain, water jets and dust ingress, making this suitable for outdoor installation where a fused spur is needed for garden lighting, pond pumps, outdoor heaters or fixed outdoor appliances.

Designed for external wall mounting, the unit measures 153mm high × 110mm wide × 84mm deep and accommodates most outdoor-rated plugs with thick over-moulded cable strain reliefs inside the wider internal casing. Multiple 20mm cable entries on different faces allow flexible cable routing depending on the installation position. The transparent lid features a large catch that clips open and can be held in the open position during wiring or fuse replacement, then closes to restore the IP66 seal.

The polycarbonate construction is impact-rated to IK06, providing resistance to accidental knocks and vandalism without cracking. The black finish blends into typical exterior wall colours and the smoked black front panel hides the internal switch detail while allowing the red neon indicator to remain visible when power is live. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and includes an earth terminal for safe bonding to the external earthing system.
