Description
The Inglenook is a 432mm Tiffany-style pendant light with a handcrafted stained glass shade in a geometric Arts & Crafts pattern, suspended from a valiant bronze ceiling canopy on a 1500mm adjustable chain. The shade combines sapphire blue, honey amber, cream and rust-toned glass panels soldered into a copper foil framework, housing three E27 bulb fittings rated at up to 60W each.
Designed for kitchens, hallways and dining areas where ceiling heights allow a 419-1880mm drop, the pendant works as a single statement light or in multiples above an island or table. The minimum 419mm drop from ceiling rose to base of shade means the fitting needs a ceiling height of at least 2.3m to provide adequate headroom in a circulation zone, or 2.6m if positioned above a dining table where the base would typically sit 700-800mm above the surface.
Each glass panel is hand-cut and wrapped individually before soldering, so the exact positioning of colour transitions varies between individual shades. The valiant bronze finish on the metalwork combines a dark brown base tone with warmer copper undertones that echo the solder lines in the glass. The chain is cut to length during installation, with the excess cable concealed inside the canopy once the desired drop is set.
The 432mm diameter places this in the smaller end of Quoizel's Inglenook range, making it suitable for spaces where a larger Arts & Crafts pendant would dominate. The three-bulb configuration provides enough light output for a 3-4m hallway or a 2-3m kitchen prep zone when fitted with 8-10W LED E27 bulbs, though the coloured glass diffuses the light and reduces effective lumens compared to clear glass equivalents.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K to complement the amber and honey tones in the glass.
Can the chain be shortened after installation?
The chain is cut to the desired length during initial installation, with excess cable fed back into the ceiling canopy. Once installed the drop is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and the chain re-cut.
Does the glass pattern vary between individual pendants?
Yes. Each shade is handcrafted from individually cut and soldered glass panels, so the exact positioning of colour transitions and the grain within each piece of glass differs between shades. This is characteristic of Tiffany-style construction.
What ceiling height is needed?
With a minimum 419mm drop from ceiling rose to base of shade, a ceiling height of at least 2.3m is needed for safe headroom in a hallway. For use above a dining table where the base would sit 700-800mm above the surface, a ceiling height of 2.6m or higher is recommended.
