Description
The Inglenook is a 445mm diameter Tiffany pendant light with a handcrafted stained glass shade in an Arts & Crafts geometric pattern, suspended on chains from a valiant bronze canopy. Three E27 bulbs inside the inverted bowl shade (sold separately, up to 60W each) cast light through sapphire blue, honey amber, soft cream and green-toned glass pieces, arranged in radiating bars from a central bronze hub.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the pendant hangs on four chains that adjust between a 749mm minimum drop and 2210mm maximum drop on installation. The shade sits 648mm tall from base to top rim, giving the fitting a substantial vertical profile that suits larger rooms. The valiant bronze finish on the metalwork — a warm brown-bronze tone — pairs with the earth-toned glass to ground the cooler blues and create a colour balance suited to traditional, Arts & Crafts and eclectic interiors.
Each glass panel is cut, wrapped in copper foil and soldered by hand using traditional Tiffany methods, so the exact distribution of colours and the solder line patterns vary between individual pieces. The stained glass diffuses direct bulb glare into a softer ambient glow, with the blue and green sections casting coloured light onto nearby surfaces when lit in the evening. The bronze frame and chain suspension give the pendant a 3.2kg weight, requiring a secure ceiling fixing and a standard UK ceiling rose rated for pendant loads.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Inglenook takes three E27 bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the amber and cream glass tones.
Is the drop adjustable after installation?
The chain length is set during installation between 749mm minimum and 2210mm maximum. Once fitted the drop is fixed unless you remove the canopy and re-adjust the chain suspension.
Does the glass vary between individual pendants?
Yes. Each shade is handcrafted using traditional Tiffany copper-foil techniques, so the exact distribution of blue, amber, cream and green glass sections and the solder line patterns differ between pieces. This is a characteristic of handmade stained glass, not a defect.
What ceiling height is needed?
For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface. With the 749mm minimum drop this requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. Higher ceilings up to 3.6m can accommodate the full 2210mm maximum drop.
