The Iku is a 13cm single pendant light with a geometric cut-glass shade suspended from a satin nickel ceiling plate and conical holder. The glass is moulded with faceted angular surfaces that create the appearance of fractured ice or cut crystal, catching and refracting light through multiple planes when the G9 bulb inside is lit.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and hallway positions where a single pendant provides accent rather than primary room lighting, the Iku works alone or in multiples. The adjustable cable drop ranges from 230mm minimum to 1500mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height above a worktop (typically 600-750mm clearance) or dining surface (700-800mm). The compact 13cm diameter keeps the fitting unobtrusive in tight spaces such as galley kitchens or narrow hallways.

The satin nickel finish on the ceiling plate and conical shade holder provides a brushed metallic accent that sits between polished chrome (too bright for some interiors) and matt black (too stark). The clear glass shows the full outline of the G9 bulb when unlit, so pairing with a smaller capsule-style G9 LED rather than a large halogen maintains the clean geometric profile. What bulb does the Iku take?

The pendant uses a G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K). The clear glass shows the full bulb outline, so a compact capsule-style LED maintains the clean look better than a larger halogen or older-style G9.

Is the Iku dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before purchasing.

Can I use multiple Iku pendants over a kitchen island?

Yes. The compact 13cm diameter allows two or three Iku pendants to be spaced 400-600mm apart along a kitchen island or dining table without crowding. Each pendant needs its own ceiling rose position and independent cable run unless wired to a multi-drop ceiling plate.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The cable is adjustable during installation by shortening or lengthening the visible cable run and securing it within the ceiling plate.
