Description

The Iku is a 290mm table lamp built around a twisting satin nickel frame that rises from a square base in a fluid ribbon-like form, topped with a clear glass shade cut and moulded to resemble fractured glacier ice. The single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass, and when lit the faceted interior surfaces refract light outwards in multiple directions.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedside use in rooms where the lamp itself acts as a sculptural object rather than background task lighting. The 120mm square footprint keeps it stable on narrow console tables and side tables without overhang. The satin nickel finish is brushed rather than polished, so it reflects light softly without creating mirror-like reflections, and the clear glass remains transparent when the lamp is off.

The twisting frame gives the lamp an asymmetric profile when viewed from different angles, so it reads differently depending on where it sits in the room. The glass shade weighs approximately 400g of the total 1kg fitting weight, giving the lamp a balanced centre of gravity despite the offset upper stem. The G9 fitting accepts LED capsule bulbs between 3-5W, which is enough to light a 3-4m² area around the lamp when used as accent lighting.
