I3-Erika 3 Light Bar Pendant - Matte Black & Satin Copper

The I3-Erika is a 3 light bar pendant from Schuller with a matte black linear canopy suspending three cylindrical shades on black fabric cables. Each shade combines a matte black outer body with satin copper detailing on the top collar and clamp bracket, and each shade tilts on its bracket to direct light where needed.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and home office desks, the 55cm canopy spans a 120-150cm surface and positions the three shades in a balanced row. The drop is adjustable from 35cm to 140cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 70-80cm above a worktop or 75-85cm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. Each shade takes a single E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately), giving control over light temperature and brightness.

The tilting mechanism on each shade uses a brass-bushed clamp that holds the shade in the chosen angle, so the pendant can be configured with all three shades pointing downwards for task light, angled outwards for wider spread, or mixed depending on room layout. The matte black finish on the canopy, cables and shade bodies reduces reflections, while the satin copper collars add a warmer accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm-toned wood and copper accessories elsewhere in the room.

The 1.51kg weight distributes evenly across the 55cm canopy, and the pendant fits standard UK ceiling roses with a Class 1 earth connection. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations away from bathroom zones and outdoor exposure.

What bulbs does the I3-Erika take?

Each of the three shades takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or task lighting over a kitchen island.

Can the shades be angled individually?

Yes. Each shade tilts on a brass-bushed clamp bracket, allowing it to be angled independently. The clamp holds the shade in the chosen position without needing a locking screw, so the angles can be adjusted after installation if lighting needs change.

What ceiling height is needed?

The drop is adjustable from 35cm to 140cm. For a kitchen island or dining table the pendant typically sits 70-85cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the I3-Erika if the cables are shortened to the minimum 35cm drop during fitting.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the specific dimmer switch model. LED bulbs vary in dimmer performance, so if dimming is required, choose bulbs labeled as dimmable and test compatibility with your dimmer before final installation.
