Description

The Hydra is a 176mm diameter LED surface downlight with an integrated 15W LED producing 3000K warm white light through an aluminium housing finished in white. The fitting mounts directly to the ceiling surface without recessing, projecting 90mm below the ceiling line, making it practical for concrete ceilings, ceiling voids with limited depth, or retrofit installations where cutting into the ceiling isn't an option.

Designed for general downlighting in residential kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and commercial interiors, the Hydra carries an IP44 rating allowing safe installation in zones where moisture and occasional water splash are present. The 120° beam angle casts wide, even light across floor areas without hard edges or hotspots, reducing the number of fittings needed to light a typical 12-15m² room. The surface-mount format simplifies installation in new builds and renovation projects alike.

The white powder-coated aluminium housing dissipates LED heat efficiently and pairs neutrally with white ceilings and painted surfaces. The Hydra is a surface-mount fitting and requires no recess or ceiling void. It fixes directly to the ceiling surface using the mounting plate provided, making it suitable for solid concrete ceilings, shallow voids, or retrofit installations where cutting into the ceiling is impractical.

Is it dimmable?
