Description

The Hydra is a 176mm diameter surface-mounted LED downlight with an integrated 15W 3000K LED and a matte gold aluminium housing. The unit sits 90mm proud of the ceiling and casts a 120° beam angle downwards, providing broad wash light across a room without the need for recessed installation. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and covered outdoor areas.

Designed for situations where recessed downlights cannot be installed due to ceiling construction or depth constraints, the Hydra mounts directly to the ceiling surface using a backplate concealed inside the housing. The 15W integrated LED delivers warm white light at 3000K, matching the colour temperature of halogen bulbs and creating a comfortable ambient glow in living rooms, hallways, dining areas and hospitality reception spaces. The high CRI rating ensures colours appear accurate under the light, which is useful in spaces where interior finishes or artwork need to be rendered faithfully.

The matte gold finish is a low-sheen brushed aluminium that softens reflections and pairs with both contemporary and classical interiors.
