Description

This stoneware mug pays tribute to the Hurricane, the famous wartime fighter, with its print on a white body and a green inside and handle. One side carries a fact sheet under the word HURRICANE in bold dark lettering. Tan bands are headed manufacturer, engine type, designer, crew, first flight, model number, length, wingspan and top speed, and a small silhouette of the aircraft sits above a line marking its 12.19m wingspan. Turn it round and the other side has two full-colour drawings of the Mk IIC in sand and brown camouflage, one from above and one in profile, complete with roundels and the JX B code letters. It holds 11oz and measures 10cm tall, 12cm wide and 8.2cm deep.

It is a mug for the first tea of the morning or a long coffee at the desk, and the fact sheet gives you something to read while the kettle boils. The green lining and handle sit well on a kitchen shelf, in a study or in a home office, and the classic shape makes it an easy everyday favourite.
