This hummingbird trinket box is a small metal bird with a lid that lifts to reveal a hidden space for the tiniest treasures. Its body is mostly green, from the crown of the head along the back to the upswept tail, with a coral pink throat, a white breast and dark blue and black tones through the folded wings. Fine gold-coloured lines trace the feathers, a slender gold-coloured beak points forward, and tiny sparkling green studs dot the shoulder and tail. It measures 6.2cm wide, 3.7cm high and 2.6cm deep, so it sits neatly in the palm of your hand.

Because it is so compact, it is happiest where it can be seen up close: on a dressing table, a bedside table, a desk or a sitting room shelf.
