Description

The Hounslow is a 229mm flush ceiling light built around a clear glass dome shade with a polished nickel canopy and stepped mounting plate. A single E27 bulb sits inside the dome, visible through the clear glass, with the bulb itself forming the visual element of the fitting. The 225mm overall drop from ceiling to base of shade keeps the fitting compact enough for rooms with lower ceiling heights.

Designed for hallways, utility rooms, cloakrooms and smaller bedrooms where ceiling height is limited or a recessed fitting cannot be installed, the Hounslow provides direct downward light through the open bottom of the glass dome. The clear glass maximises light transmission from the bulb without diffusion or colour shift, so the choice of bulb directly determines the light quality in the room. An E27 LED bulb in 2700K-3000K warm white gives a softer ambient effect, while 4000K-5000K daylight white suits task-oriented spaces.

The polished nickel finish on the canopy and internal socket holder provides a cooler metallic tone than brass, pairing cleanly with chrome taps, stainless steel appliances and contemporary grey or white interiors. The glass dome is hand-blown with a slight taper towards the open base, giving the shade visual weight without bulk.
