What bulb does the Hoop take?

The downlight uses a GX53 bulb base, which is a flat disc-style bulb common in recessed downlights. GX53 LED bulbs are sold separately and typically range from 7W to 11W. The maximum wattage is 15W as stated in the specification.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The fitting itself is 52mm tall. You need a minimum ceiling void depth of 60-70mm to accommodate the downlight, the bulb, and clearance for wiring and heat dissipation above the fitting.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means it's suitable for dry interior zones only. In bathrooms, IP20 fittings can be used outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically 600mm away from a shower or bath). For zones closer to water, a higher IP rating (IP44 or IP65) is required by building regulations.

Is the light direction adjustable?

No. The Hoop is a fixed downlight, meaning the lamp holder points directly downward and cannot be tilted or rotated. If you need adjustable beam direction, look for a tiltable or gimbal-style recessed downlight.
