Description

The Holly is a single-pendant light built from brushed brass-finished metal, consisting of a cylindrical shade 120mm in diameter and 250mm tall suspended on a fabric-covered cable from a matching brass ceiling rose. The shade houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) with the light directed downward through an opal diffuser at the base of the cylinder, softening the output and reducing glare.

Designed for focused task lighting or accent positions, the Holly suits installation above kitchen islands, worktops, breakfast bars, bedside tables and console tables where directed light is needed at a specific height. The 2000mm cable allows the pendant to be positioned anywhere from 400mm to 1800mm below the ceiling rose depending on the mounting height and desired drop. The fabric cable adds texture against the polished metal and conceals the electrical core cleanly.

The brushed brass finish shows visible horizontal grain from the manufacturing process, giving the metal a softer appearance than polished brass and reducing fingerprint visibility during handling and installation. The cylindrical form measures 120mm across, making it compact enough to group in multiples over a larger surface without visual crowding. The IP20 rating confines the fitting to dry indoor rooms — living spaces, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and offices.

Is the Holly dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E27 bulb and paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. LED bulbs vary in dimmer compatibility, so check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer.

What bulb does it take?

The Holly takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient light, or a higher-wattage bulb up to the fitting's maximum rating for task lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must only be installed in dry indoor rooms. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher depending on zone placement.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation by coiling excess cable inside the ceiling rose or cutting and re-terminating at the desired length. This requires basic electrical competence or a qualified electrician.
