Description

The Hollow is a 40cm diameter pendant light with a blown white glass diffuser, satin nickel ceiling rose and three E27 bulb fittings. The glass shade is acid-etched to create a translucent white finish that diffuses light evenly in all directions, softening the output from the three bulbs inside and preventing direct glare from below.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room centres in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Hollow provides ambient rather than task lighting. The adjustable steel suspension cables allow the pendant to be set at the appropriate height during installation, typically 700-800mm above a dining surface or 600-700mm above a kitchen worktop. The 40cm diameter suits tables for four to six people or island runs of 1.2-1.8m without overwhelming the space.

The blown glass construction gives each shade slight variations in thickness and form, characteristic of hand-blown pieces. The acid-etched surface hides fingerprints and dust better than clear glass while maintaining the clean white appearance.
