Description

The Hinkley Hollis is a 3-light bathroom wall light spanning 606mm across a horizontal bar mount in heritage brass, with three clear seeded glass globes each capped by a matching brass collar. Each globe houses an E14 candle bulb (sold separately, maximum 40W per fitting), and the fixture carries an IP44 rating for safe use in bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for installation above bathroom mirrors, vanity units, or along hallway walls where balanced horizontal light distribution is needed, the Hollis mounts on a shallow oval backplate 230mm high and projects 193mm from the wall. The three evenly spaced globes provide symmetrical illumination across a 1-1.2m mirror or basin width without leaving dark spots at the edges.

The heritage brass finish is a mid-tone warm brass with subtle antiquing that sits between polished brass and antique brass on the spectrum, pairing well with brass taps, brushed gold hardware and warm-toned tile schemes. The seeded glass texture inside each globe creates a speckled light pattern when lit, softening the direct glare from bare E14 candle bulbs while still allowing most of the light output through.

The metal frame construction uses solid brass tubing for the horizontal bar, with the three globe holders fixed at equal intervals. The backplate conceals standard UK wiring connections and the fixture mounts to a standard wall back box or direct to masonry with the supplied fixings.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. Zone 2 covers areas within 60cm of a bath or shower, and zone 3 covers the rest of the bathroom. Do not install directly above a shower head or within the bath enclosure itself (zone 1).

What bulbs does it take?

The Hollis takes three E14 small Edison screw (candle) bulbs, maximum 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom mirror lighting.

What mirror width does it suit?

The 606mm bar width suits mirrors or vanity units between 1000-1200mm wide. For smaller mirrors the outer lights may overhang the edges; for wider mirrors a longer variant or two separate wall lights may provide more even coverage.

Is the heritage brass finish lacquered?

Hinkley heritage brass fittings are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing in humid bathroom environments. The finish should not require polishing or maintenance beyond routine dusting with a soft dry cloth.
