Description
The Hollis is a three light flush ceiling light in a nickel finish, its glass shades mounted directly to the ceiling with no visible drop rod. It measures 357mm across and has a 305mm projection, so it has real presence despite being a flush fitting, filling the space below it rather than disappearing into the ceiling line. Each of the three arms takes a standard E14 lamp, and the glass and nickel combination keeps the look clean and bright, whether the lamps are on or off.
Flush fittings like this are a natural choice for rooms with lower ceilings, or anywhere a hanging pendant would feel out of place: hallways, landings, box rooms and smaller bedrooms all work well, and a kitchen with a standard ceiling height suits it too. The three lamps cast an even, all round light rather than a single downward beam, so the room reads as bright and open rather than shadowed in places. Nickel is a cool, neutral finish, so it sits easily against white walls, pale grey schemes or other cooler toned decor, and it won't clash with chrome taps or steel appliances nearby.
We finish the Hollis in nickel, a hardwearing look that needs no more than a wipe with a dry, soft cloth now and then to keep it looking its best. It is fully dimmable with compatible dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer switch, so you can soften the light for evenings without needing a second fitting. Glass and nickel work well on their own or as part of a run of lights along a hallway or landing, and the same look continues through the wider Hollis range if you would like to carry it from room to room.

Frequently Asked
Will the Hollis work in a hallway or landing?
Yes, at 357mm across it makes a good main light for an average hallway, landing or bedroom, and being a flush fitting it won't intrude even where ceilings are on the lower side.
How far down does it hang from the ceiling?
It has a 305mm projection. Because it's mounted flush, with no drop rod, that depth sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging into the room.
What bulbs does it take, and are they included?
It takes three E14 lamps, which are not included. A warm white LED E14 lamp will give a similar soft light to a traditional bulb while using less energy.
Is the Hollis dimmable?
Yes, it's dimmable when used with dimmable E14 lamps and a compatible dimmer switch, so you can take it from bright and practical down to something softer.
How do I clean the nickel finish?
A dry, soft cloth is usually enough. Avoid household sprays or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the finish or mark the glass shades over time.
