Description

The Hof is a 60cm tall LED pedestal light with a rectangular metal column in graphite finish, housing an integrated 12W LED module emitting 3000K warm white light. The light escapes through a frosted panel set into the front and rear faces of the column, casting vertical strips of illumination up and down the height of the fitting.

Designed for pathway edging, driveway borders, patio perimeters and garden bed definition, the 60cm height positions light low enough to illuminate ground surfaces without spilling into windows or neighbouring properties. The IP65 rating makes the fitting weatherproof against rain, dust and temperature variation, allowing year-round outdoor installation in exposed positions. The pedestal mounts directly to a hard surface via a base plate with cable entry through the bottom of the column.

The graphite powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion and fading under UV exposure, maintaining its mid-tone grey appearance across multiple seasons. The 10cm x 6cm footprint takes minimal ground space, allowing the pedestal to be positioned close to planting beds or alongside narrow pathways where a wider bollard would obstruct. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement and draws 12W on 220-240V mains, equivalent to approximately 100W of halogen output.

No. The 12W LED module is integrated into the pedestal and rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical evening use. The module cannot be replaced by the end user.

What does IP65 mean in practice?

IP65 certification means the fitting is fully sealed against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes the Hof suitable for installation in exposed positions including coastal areas, driveways subject to pressure washing, and garden beds with automatic irrigation.

How is the pedestal installed?

The Hof mounts via a base plate fixed to a hard surface such as paving, decking or concrete. The mains cable enters through the base of the column. Installation requires a qualified electrician to connect to outdoor-rated cable buried in conduit or trunking to the nearest junction box or consumer unit.

What spacing is recommended between pedestals?

For pathway lighting, 2.5-3.5m spacing between pedestals provides continuous illumination without creating overly bright or dark patches. For driveway edging or decorative garden use, spacing can be wider at 4-5m intervals depending on ambient light levels and the desired effect.
