Description

The Hobson is a 240mm industrial pendant with a satin nickel metal frame and a seeded glass shade housing a single E27 bulb fitting. The pendant head features a pivoting top bracket styled after factory lighting hardware, connecting to an adjustable rod that allows the fitting to drop between 583mm and 1499mm from the ceiling. The seeded glass has a textured, bubble-patterned surface that softens direct light from exposed-filament bulbs while maintaining visual transparency.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallways, the Hobson works as a single fitting over a small breakfast bar or in multiples over longer surfaces. The 240mm shade diameter suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher when set at the minimum 583mm drop, positioning the pendant approximately 1800mm from the floor. The satin nickel finish is a brushed, low-sheen metal treatment that sits between polished chrome and darker pewter tones, pairing with stainless steel appliances, brushed brass hardware and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures.

The seeded glass shade tapers slightly towards the base, where a satin nickel collar frames the opening and conceals the lampholder. The pivoting bracket at the top of the pendant allows the rod to be angled during installation to accommodate sloped or off-centre ceiling roses. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W, including LED filament bulbs that complement the industrial aesthetic and vintage-style halogen globes.
