Description

This white wooden hanging plaque greets Easter with the words 'Hip Hop Hooray' across its arched top and 'It's the Easter Bunny' on a second panel hung just beneath it. The arched panel carries a soft watercolour-style picture of a pink rabbit bounding over a spotted green egg, with patterned eggs, orange and red spring flowers and two pale pink butterflies around it. The lettering is pastel pink, with 'Hip Hop' in a fine grey script, and a pale green line edges both panels. It measures 24cm across and 1cm deep, so it sits neatly on a door or a narrow stretch of wall.

We like it on the inside of the front door, where it welcomes everyone arriving for an Easter egg hunt, or hung from a hook in the hallway, the kitchen or a playroom. Its soft pinks, greens and white suit a pastel spring scheme, bringing a seasonal note to a room without loud, busy colour. It also makes a cheerful Easter gift, easy to wrap flat and lovely tucked in beside a few chocolate eggs.

The plaque is made of wood, with its design printed on a white face, and the two panels are joined by two short white tabs. A white loop at the top hangs it from a hook, a nail or a door handle, and over a handle it needs no fixing at all. To care for it, dust it with a soft dry cloth now and then, and keep it indoors, away from damp. When the holiday is over, wrap it in tissue and store it flat, ready for next spring. For a bright Easter welcome, hang it at eye level and set a jug of daffodils on a table beneath it.

Frequently Asked

How big is the Hip Hop Hooray plaque?

It measures 24cm across and 1cm deep. That is a neat size for an inside door, a hallway wall or a hook in the kitchen.

How does the plaque hang?

A white loop at the top hangs it from a hook, a nail or a door handle. The lower panel hangs beneath the arched one on two short white tabs.

What words are on the plaque?

The arched top panel reads 'Hip Hop Hooray' and the lower panel reads 'It's the Easter Bunny'. The lettering is pastel pink, with 'Hip Hop' in a fine grey script.

What is the plaque made of?

The plaque is made of wood with a white finish. It has pastel pink lettering, a watercolour-style bunny design and a pale green edge around both panels.

Can I hang it outside on the front door?

We would keep it indoors, away from damp, because it is a wooden piece. The inside of the front door or a wall in a dry room suits it best.

How should I care for it and store it after Easter?

Dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth. Between Easters, wrap it in tissue and store it flat so it is ready to hang again next spring.
