Description

The Henlow is a glass lantern globe pendant light: a clear glass globe held in a cage of brass bands, hung on a chain from a round ceiling plate, with a stepped finial at its base. Inside sits a single bulb, and its light spreads out through the clear glass on every side, with the brass bands tracing a lattice across the globe. It is 48cm tall and 35cm across, and it comes in a choice of Antique Brass or Natural Brass. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb.

We see the Henlow first as a dining room light. Hung over a dining table, its 35cm globe gives the table a clear centre and lights it from a single point, while the open cage of bands keeps it from looking heavy. It works just as well in a living room as the main ceiling light, where the brass catches the glow of the bulb in the evening. It comes with one metre of cable and chain as standard. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. Hang one on its own, or a pair over a longer table.

The Henlow is made of brass and glass, and every one is made to order for you in Ireland, in the finish you choose. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. This is a mains fitting, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, wired in to the mains.
