Description

The Hendrik is a 610mm polished chrome bathroom wall light carrying three satin-etched opal glass cylinder shades on a horizontal bar mount. Each shade houses a 3W LED G9 bulb (included) delivering 3000K warm white light. The IP44 rating confirms protection against water splashes, making the fitting suitable for zones 2 and 3 in UK bathroom installations.

Designed for mounting above bathroom mirrors and vanity units, the Hendrik provides even illumination across a width of approximately 900-1200mm without creating harsh shadows on faces. The 163mm projection from the wall places the light source forward of the mirror plane, reducing glare while maintaining adequate task lighting for grooming. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and other bathroom metalwork.

What bathroom zones is this light suitable for?

The IP44 rating makes the Hendrik suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. Zone 2 covers areas within 60cm of a bath or shower tray and above 225cm from the floor. Zone 3 is outside zones 0, 1 and 2 and includes most vanity mirror positions. The fitting is not rated for zones 0 or 1 (inside or directly above a bath or shower enclosure).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting takes standard G9 LED bulbs. Three 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K are included with the fitting. If a bulb fails, unscrew the chrome collar, remove the glass shade, and replace with another G9 bulb up to 3W.

What size mirror does this suit?

The 610mm width works best with mirrors between 900mm and 1200mm wide, providing even coverage across double-basin vanities. For narrower mirrors or single basins, consider the 2-light version of the Hendrik if available, or position the 3-light version centrally above the mirror.

Can the glass shades be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off at the mains, allow the bulbs to cool, then unscrew the chrome collars and lift off the glass shades. Wash the satin-etched glass in warm soapy water, rinse, dry thoroughly and refit. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the etched surface.
