Description

The Helixis is a 90mm square surface-mounted outdoor downlight with a powder-coated white die-cast aluminium body and a frosted tempered glass diffuser. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for surface mounting on soffits, canopies, porch ceilings and covered outdoor walls, the Helixis suits building entrances, garden room exteriors, and covered terrace areas where ceiling-mounted light is needed but recessed installation is impractical. The 90mm square footprint keeps the fitting compact enough for residential-scale eaves and overhangs without overwhelming the architecture. The frosted glass spreads the GU10 beam into a softer wash of light, reducing harsh shadows on steps and doorways.

The powder-coated white finish resists UV degradation and corrosion from rain exposure, maintaining its appearance across seasons. The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the bulb. The IP54 rating makes the fitting suitable for sheltered outdoor locations but not for direct submersion or prolonged heavy rain — position it under eaves or canopies rather than fully exposed roofs.
