Description

The Helixis is a 150mm square surface-mounted downlight built from powder-coated die-cast aluminium in white, with a frosted tempered glass diffuser set into the underside. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating for outdoor use, protecting against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for porches, canopies, building facades and covered walkways, the Helixis mounts directly to a ceiling or soffit surface without recessing. The 150mm cubic form projects 150mm from the mounting surface, giving clearance for the GU10 lamp holder and wiring compartment inside. The frosted glass diffuser softens the light output and prevents direct glare from the bulb when viewed from below.

The white powder-coated finish on the aluminium body resists corrosion and weathering in coastal and urban environments. The die-cast construction gives the fitting structural rigidity and thermal mass to dissipate heat from the bulb, extending lamp life. The 1550mm pre-wired cable allows for flexible installation and connection to existing outdoor wiring, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a GU10 LED bulb rated for dimming.
