Description

The Helion is a 75cm LED picture light with a powder-coated white aluminium frame housing two integrated LED modules behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting delivers 13.5W of warm 3000K light across the full 750mm length, designed to wash the surface of medium to large paintings, prints and photographs without creating hotspots or glare on reflective frames or glazing.

Mounted directly above or onto the top edge of the frame, the Helion projects 40mm from the wall and sits close to the artwork it illuminates. The opal diffuser spreads the light evenly rather than focusing it into a narrow beam, making the fitting suitable for canvases, framed photographs and textured artworks where detail needs to be visible across the entire piece. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations.

The white powder-coated finish on the aluminium frame gives a matt appearance that avoids reflections and allows the fitting to blend into lighter walls or sit discreetly above white mounts and frames. The integrated LED modules are non-replaceable, with a 5-year warranty covering the entire fitting including the light source. The fitting does not support dimming and operates on standard 230V mains wiring.

What size artwork does the 75cm Helion suit?

The 750mm length works well with artworks between 60-90cm wide. For smaller pieces under 60cm, consider the shorter Helion variants. For wider artworks over 90cm, multiple fittings or a longer model may provide more even coverage.

Can the LED modules be replaced when they fail?

No. The LED modules are integrated and non-replaceable. The 5-year warranty covers the entire fitting including the light source. After the rated lifespan, the whole fitting would need replacing rather than just the bulbs.

Is the Helion dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at a fixed 13.5W output on 230V mains and does not support dimmer switches or controls.

How is it mounted?

The Helion mounts either directly above the artwork onto the wall or can be fixed to the top edge of the frame itself, depending on the frame construction and weight. The 40mm projection allows it to sit close to the wall without casting shadows from the frame below.
