Description

The Haymarket is a 460mm industrial pendant light with a double-layered metal shade finished in weathered galvanized steel. The outer shade forms a wide, shallow drum with a stepped profile, while the inner shade sits concentrically below it, creating a horizontal band of light that emerges between the two layers. A single E27 bulb (sold separately, up to 60W) sits within the inner shade and directs most of its light downwards, with a controlled spill upwards illuminating the canopy and chain.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and entry halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Haymarket pairs directional task lighting with industrial presence. The adjustable chain allows the pendant to hang between 343mm and 1911mm from the ceiling, making it adaptable to both standard and higher ceilings. At minimum drop the pendant sits close to the ceiling rose; at maximum drop it can be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on room height.

The weathered galvanized finish is a grey-blue steel surface with intentional tonal variation and a matte texture that softens reflections under daylight. The finish has a vintage patina that suggests age and use rather than a pristine factory coat. The layered construction and industrial materials suit lofts, urban kitchens, contemporary farmhouse interiors and spaces where raw metal and concrete are part of the palette. The Haymarket takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users pair it with an 8-12W warm white LED (2700K-3000K) for kitchen or dining table lighting. The double-layered shade directs most light downwards, with a controlled upward spill.

How low can it hang?

The chain is adjustable on installation from 343mm minimum drop to 1911mm maximum drop. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Is the weathered finish consistent across all pieces?

No. The weathered galvanized finish is applied to mimic aged steel, so tonal variation, patina marks and subtle colour shifts are intentional and vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the finish, not a defect.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Haymarket carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
