Description

This is a long, slim bar of stainless steel, finished in polished chrome and left blank right across its face. It runs 110cm end to end and measures 10cm across, with a shallow depth that keeps it tight to the line of the ceiling. The chrome is bright and reflective, so it picks up daylight and lamplight from the room rather than reading as a dark band overhead. There are no holes in it, which leaves the arrangement above entirely open.

We reach for a plate like this where several pendants hang in a row and we want them read as one piece rather than three separate drops: over a kitchen island, down the length of a dining table, above a bar counter or a long reception desk. The narrow, linear shape works well in a galley kitchen or a hallway where a round plate would look stranded.
