Description

A slim rectangular plate in polished chrome, drilled with five holes spaced along its length so a row of separate pendant drops can be gathered and read as a single run. The steel is polished to a bright, mirror-like face that catches whatever light hangs below it, and the plate itself is shallow in depth, so it keeps a low profile against the ceiling line. It is not an electrical item and takes no lamp of its own; the flex, holders and shades all come from the pendants you choose to pair with it.

This is the piece to reach for when you want a linear cluster over a dining table, a kitchen island, a long bar or a reception desk, but would rather build it from pendants you have picked yourself than buy a ready-made bar. We use it in kitchens where the same glass shade repeats along an island, and in hallways where a stepped set of drops needs a tidy anchor above. Polished chrome sits happily alongside stainless appliances, chrome taps and mirrored splashbacks, and it works just as well as a quiet foil to warmer brass or copper shades.

The body is stainless steel with a polished chrome finish, plain on the face and free of visible detail so the pendants stay the focus. To keep the shine, dust it with a soft lint-free cloth; if it needs more, a barely damp cloth followed by an immediate dry buff will stop water spots forming on the chrome.
