Ceiling plates like this one exist to give a run of pendants a single quiet base to hang from, rather than a line of separate fittings dotted across a ceiling. This is the linear rectangle, 1.1m long and 40cm across, with a shallow depth of just 25mm so the plate sits low and close against the ceiling line. It is the no hole version, supplied as a blank face with no openings formed in it, which leaves the spacing of the drops entirely open to you. In white, it reads as a flat plane rather than an object.

Does it come with holes already made?

No. This is the no hole version, so the face arrives blank and the positions of the pendant drops are left to you and your electrician.

No, it is a non-electrical accessory. It carries no lamps or wiring of its own; the light comes from the pendants and flex you pair with it.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or a covered porch?

No. It is rated for dry indoor rooms only, so kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and offices rather than wet or exposed areas.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 4.3kg, which is why it feels rigid rather than flimsy across a span of over a metre.

How should I keep the white looking clean?

A dry duster along the face and edges is usually enough. For finger marks, use a cloth wrung out in plain water, then dry it off. Avoid cream cleaners and solvents, which will dull the white.
