Description

This is the blank member of the Hayes plates, a shallow brass rectangle that gives a row of pendants one spine to hang from instead of several separate points. At 1100mm by 400mm it covers a good stretch of ceiling, yet it sits very close overhead, so what you notice is the run of drops rather than the plate carrying them. The face is left whole, with no holes set out, which leaves the spacing entirely to you.

It works over a kitchen island, a dining table, a bar or a long hallway console, drawing a group of drops into a single tidy line. Made from iron and finished in brass, it has enough substance to hold its line across the full length. Keep it looking right with a dry cloth and nothing else: detergents will dull the brass, and a coarse pad or cloth will scratch it, so both are best kept away. It is meant for dry indoor rooms, so hallways, kitchens and dining rooms rather than a shower area or anywhere exposed to weather. It carries a one year warranty.
