Description

This ornate porcelain mug wears Hufflepuff, the Harry Potter house of the badger, in gold on a warm yellow glaze. On the front, a crest with a scrolled banner reading HUFFLEPUFF sits above the badger emblem, framed in a gold sunburst. Turn it round and the house words DEDICATION, PATIENCE and LOYALTY run across the back in gold capitals. Gold starbursts and tiny four-pointed stars are scattered all the way round, and a gold handle and gold rim finish it off. It stands 9cm tall, 13cm wide and 9cm deep.

It is a mug for daily use as much as for show: a morning tea at the kitchen table, a coffee on the desk while you work, or something warm on a slow evening. Between cups it looks just as good on an open shelf or a study bookcase, where the gold catches the light. Because the pattern runs all the way round, it looks finished from every angle, whichever way the handle faces.
