Description

This fringed wall banner brings all four Hogwarts houses together in one tall, pointed pennant. The front is quartered in red, orange, blue and green, with each house crest printed in gold in its own quarter: Gryffindor top left, Hufflepuff top right, Ravenclaw bottom left and Slytherin bottom right. At the centre sits a larger Hogwarts crest on a black shield, and small printed stars scatter across the colours around it. It measures 56cm tall and 23cm wide, and only half a centimetre deep, so it hangs close and flat to the wall.

At 56cm tall it has enough presence to hold a wall on its own, yet it is narrow enough to fit the gap beside a bookcase, above a desk or on the back of a bedroom door. We like it in a study, a reading corner or a games room, anywhere the four crests can be seen at a glance. With every house side by side, it suits a home where each person has picked a different house, and nobody has to fly another house's colours.

A slim rod runs along the top edge, with a hanging cord fixed at each end that rises to a point, so one hook or picture nail is all it needs. From the right-hand end hangs a round gold-coloured charm stamped with an H and the word Hogwarts, finished with a long beige tassel, and a matching beige fringe trims the pointed hem. The reverse is plain cream. To keep it fresh, dust it gently with a soft dry cloth and hang it away from damp. As it lies so flat, it wraps neatly as a gift, ready to go straight up on the wall.
