Description

The Harper is a 456mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with a clear seeded glass drum held inside a polished chrome metal ring, mounted 253mm from the ceiling on a chrome stem and canopy. Three E27 bulb fittings sit inside the glass drum, with each bulb visible through the textured seeded glass when lit. The decorative knobs on the underside unscrew to allow bulb access without removing the entire fixture.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m where a full pendant drop would hang too low, the Harper provides ambient light without extending far into the room. The semi-flush format suits hallways, low-ceilinged bedrooms, utility rooms and entrance halls where clearance matters. The 456mm diameter provides sufficient spread for rooms up to 4m square when paired with 60W-equivalent LED bulbs in warm white.

The seeded glass texture shows small air bubbles suspended in the glass during manufacture, giving the appearance of vintage pressed glass without the weight. The polished chrome frame and stem reflect ambient light around the room while the glass diffuses direct glare from the three bulbs inside. The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. For a warm ambient result most users pair this with three 8-10W LED bulbs in 2700K-3000K.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 253mm projection from ceiling to base works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. In rooms below 2.3m the fitting may feel visually heavy; in rooms above 2.6m a longer pendant drop may suit better.

How is the glass accessed for bulb changes?

The three decorative knobs visible on the underside of the chrome ring unscrew to release the glass drum, giving access to the three bulb fittings inside. The entire fixture does not need to be removed from the ceiling.
