Description

The Harper is a 456mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a drum-shaped opal etched glass shade held within a polished chrome frame. Three E27 bulbs inside the shade (sold separately) cast light through the etched glass, which diffuses the output evenly across the room. The fitting projects 253mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a full pendant would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, dining areas, bedrooms and living rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights, the Harper provides ambient overhead light without dominating the space. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the canopy sitting close to the ceiling plane. The polished chrome finish on the frame and decorative knobs gives a clean, reflective accent that pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes.

The opal etched glass shade is made from a single moulded piece of glass with an acid-etched internal surface that scatters light without glare. The chrome ring that secures the glass to the frame is held in place with visible decorative knobs at three points around the circumference, giving the fitting a mechanical, engineered appearance that references mid-20th-century industrial design. Each E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 60W, allowing flexibility in output and colour temperature depending on whether LED, halogen or filament bulbs are fitted.
