Description

The Harbor is a 650mm flush ceiling light built from a gold-finished metal frame supporting rows of cut crystal pearls that form a domed diffuser around the light source. Fourteen E14 bulb fittings sit behind the crystal layer, with a circular sandblasted glass panel closing the base of the fitting to soften the light output and prevent glare from directly visible bulbs.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where a chandelier drop would be impractical, the Harbor provides the decorative presence of crystal lighting in a flush-mount format. The 650mm diameter suits living rooms, formal dining rooms and entrance halls of 16-25m² floor area. The gold frame catches both natural and artificial light during the day, while the crystal pearls create refracted patterns across ceilings and walls when the fitting is lit in the evening.

Each of the fourteen E14 fittings accepts bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), giving control over total light output and colour temperature depending on the bulbs chosen. The sandblasted glass diffuser at the base distributes the light evenly downward while the crystal pearls scatter additional light upward and outward. The flush-mount design sits approximately 150mm below the ceiling line once installed, leaving clearance for ceiling fans, smoke detectors and door swing arcs in taller rooms.

The gold finish is applied to a metal frame rather than plated onto crystal components, so the colour remains consistent across the fitting. The crystal pearls are individually hung on wire frames and can be removed for cleaning without dismantling the entire fixture. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

How is the crystal cleaned?

For deeper cleaning, individual crystal strands can be unhooked from the wire frame, cleaned with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, dried thoroughly and re-hung. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on crystal components.
