Description

The Harbor is a 550mm flush ceiling light with a gold-plated metal frame, a domed diffuser built from rows of cut crystal pearls, and a circular sandblasted glass base that closes the underside. Ten E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal and glass, casting light through both layers to create a combination of focused downlight and refracted sparkle across the crystal facets.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights below 2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Harbor's flush-mount design sits directly against the ceiling with minimal projection. The 550mm diameter suits rooms of 12-20m² where the fitting needs to provide primary ambient light while also acting as a decorative focal point. The gold finish on the frame adds warm metallic accents that pair well with warm whites, creams, greys and natural wood tones.

The cut crystal pearls are arranged in concentric rows that follow the dome contour, creating a graduated density of sparkle from the rim to the centre. Each pearl is individually faceted, so light passing through the diffuser breaks into small points and reflections rather than a uniform glow. The sandblasted glass base softens the direct downlight from the bulbs, preventing glare when viewed from below. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.

The Harbor carries an IP20 rating, limiting it to dry indoor use only. The gold plating is applied to the visible metal frame and canopy, but the internal fittings and bulb holders are standard white plastic. The fitting weighs approximately 4.5kg when fully assembled, so it requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or into a masonry anchor point rated for the load.

Yes, the Harbor is dimmable when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The dimmer must be rated for the combined wattage of all 10 bulbs. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or hum if used with a dimmer.

What bulbs does it take?

The Harbor takes 10 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for a combined output of 40-60W equivalent. The fitting can accommodate up to 40W per bulb if using halogen, but LED is recommended for lower heat output.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The flush-mount design suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.8m where a pendant would hang too low. The fitting projects approximately 150-180mm from the ceiling once installed, leaving adequate headroom in standard UK residential rooms.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Harbor to dry indoor use only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, kitchens with high moisture levels, or any zone where water spray or condensation is present.
