Description

The Hanok is a 406mm linear LED flush ceiling light built around an integrated 14W 3000K LED strip delivering 950lm output through a frosted diffuser. The matt black rectangular body measures 47mm wide by 68mm deep, with curved end panels that soften the hard edges of the aluminium housing. The diffuser sits flush with the underside of the body, directing light downward in a 110° beam.

Designed for hallways, kitchens, utility rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m, the Hanok provides functional task light without the projection bulk of a pendant or the heat load of a halogen downlight cluster. The 406mm length suits corridors between 900-1200mm wide, alcoves, and galley kitchens where a central pendant would interrupt head clearance. Multiple Hanok fittings can be run in series along a ceiling to create continuous lighting over workbenches or along narrow circulation routes.

The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, making the fitting recede visually during the day and reveal itself only when switched on. This works well in industrial-inspired interiors, matt black kitchen schemes, and contemporary spaces where ceiling fittings are intended to remain unobtrusive. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, avoiding the clinical tone of cooler LED strips while still providing adequate task light for food preparation, reading labels on shelves, or navigating a corridor.

The 68mm ceiling projection requires a minimum 80mm void above the plasterboard for safe installation and heat dissipation. The LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, with an expected lifespan of approximately 25,000 hours at typical domestic usage.
