Description

A light engine rather than a finished fitting: a slim black bar of 1.2m with the LEDs and their driver already inside, made to be linked end to end or built into a host. The output is warm white at 3000K, and the beam is narrow rather than wide, laying a defined band of light below it instead of washing a whole room. Power draw is 38W, and it runs on a plain on-off switch rather than a dimmer.

We use modules like this where the lighting needs to follow a line: along a run of worktop, over a long dining table, above a reception desk, or down the middle of a workshop bench. The tight beam suits high ceilings and tall rooms, where a broader spread would lose its punch before it reached the surface. Because several can be joined into one continuous run, it works as well over a long counter as over a single island. It is a fitting for dry rooms indoors, and not one for a bathroom zone or an outbuilding that gets damp.

The housing is finished in black throughout, narrow enough in section to read as a line of light rather than a piece of hardware, and the LEDs are fixed for the life of the unit, so there is nothing to swap out later. Upkeep is minimal: turn the power off, then run a dry cloth along the body and the lens, keeping cleaning sprays and solvents well away from it. It carries a three year warranty. The wider Hanok range runs to linear pendants and linear ceiling lights in black and white, in a wider beam as well as this narrow one, and we would pair this module with those where a scheme wants both a hung line and a fitted one.
