Description

The Hanok is a 1.2m linear suspension light with an integrated 38W LED strip housed inside a sand brown aluminium extrusion. A frosted diffuser along the underside of the profile emits 2850 lumens at 3000K across a 110° beam angle, providing even downward light along the full length of the fitting. The suspension cables allow the drop to be adjusted between 100mm and 1600mm during installation.

Designed for positioning above kitchen islands, dining tables and workbenches where linear task light is needed, the Hanok replaces traditional multi-pendant arrangements with a single continuous light source. The 1.2m length suits islands and tables between 1.4m and 1.8m long, typically mounted 700-900mm above the worktop or table surface. The 48mm-wide profile keeps the fitting low-profile against the ceiling plane when viewed from the side.

The sand brown finish is a muted earth tone between taupe and light bronze, achieved through powder-coating the aluminium extrusion. The finish shows slight texture under direct light and pairs with timber, concrete, terracotta and neutral-toned interiors where warmer metallics would feel too rich. The frosted diffuser prevents direct LED glare and softens the light output across the surface below. At 2.8kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings into joists or a structural ceiling rather than plasterboard alone.

The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs on standard 220-240V mains via the included driver mounted inside the canopy. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, closer to halogen than daylight, making it comfortable for evening use without the cooler blue cast of higher-temperature LEDs. No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output of 2850 lumens and is not compatible with dimmer switches or control systems.

What table or island length does it suit?

The 1.2m length works best above tables or islands between 1.4m and 1.8m long. For longer surfaces, Mantra produces the Hanok in 1.5m and 1.8m versions which provide better light distribution.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension cables can be shortened during installation by feeding excess cable back through the ceiling canopy. The drop can be set anywhere between 100mm (nearly flush to ceiling) and 1600mm (suitable for high ceilings or stairwell applications).

Does the sand brown finish match timber tones?
