Description

The Hampton is a 508mm semi-flush ceiling light with an off-white linen drum shade suspended on a brushed brass frame. Three E27 bulb fittings sit inside the drum, behind an etched acrylic diffuser that sits flush with the lower edge of the shade. The 305mm drop from ceiling to the bottom of the diffuser positions the fitting closer to the ceiling than a traditional pendant, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m.

Designed for hallways, guest bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms where a central ceiling fixture is needed without dropping too far into the room, the Hampton provides ambient light through the linen shade and directed downlight through the etched acrylic diffuser. The brushed brass frame adds warmth to traditional and transitional interiors without the high reflection of polished finishes. The three-point canopy distributes ceiling fixing load across multiple joists in older plaster ceilings.

The linen drum shade measures 508mm diameter and sits 178mm tall, creating a shallow cylindrical profile that reads horizontally rather than dropping visually into the room. The etched acrylic diffuser softens the bulb glare when viewed from below, while the open top of the drum allows heat to escape rather than accumulating inside the shade. The brushed brass finish on the frame and canopy shows directional grain that reduces fingerprints and pairs comfortably with both warm timber furniture and cooler grey walls.

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. The fitting itself is compatible with standard dimmer switches, but you must pair it with dimmable LED bulbs and confirm the dimmer model supports LED loads.
