Description
The Hampton is a single-light wall fitting built around a rectangular brushed brass backplate measuring 305mm high by 171mm wide, supporting an off-white linen drum shade with a recessed acrylic diffuser at the base. The shade measures approximately 230mm in projection from the wall, housing a single E27 socket rated for bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, powder rooms and stairwell landings where a decorative wall light is needed without dominating the space, the Hampton provides both downward task light through the acrylic lens and soft diffused ambient light through the linen fabric. The 171mm width makes it suitable for narrower wall sections between doorways or alongside mirrors, and multiple Hampton fittings can be spaced along a corridor to provide consistent illumination without overhead pendants.
The brushed brass backplate has a directional grain that catches light at different angles throughout the day, giving the fitting a subtle depth against painted walls. The off-white linen shade has a fine weave texture that softens the bulb filament when lit, making it suitable for pairing with visible-filament LED bulbs or traditional pearl-finish lamps. The recessed acrylic lens directs light downwards onto worktops, sinks or reading positions without exposing the bulb itself to direct view from eye level.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Hampton take?
The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bedroom and hallway use, or a visible-filament LED if the shade weave allows the bulb shape to show through.
How far does it project from the wall?
The shade projects 229mm from the wall once fitted. Allow clearance if installing above furniture or next to door frames that swing open towards the wall.
Can the linen shade be cleaned?
The linen shade can be dusted with a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner or wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric as this may cause watermarks or affect the shape of the shade.
Is the Hampton suitable for bathrooms?
The Hampton carries no IP rating and is not designed for use in wet or damp environments. It is suitable for dry interior spaces such as bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and powder rooms outside of bathroom zones.
